Heat oil and splutter 1tsp of mustard. Add one chopped big onion, ½ tsp of black gram. Sauté until golden brown. Add to this chopped ginger, 1tsp of chopped green chilli, 2 red chilli and curry leaves. Add 2 ½ cups (500ml) of water and required salt to the mix. Add Raidco Broken Wheat to it. Cook for 10 min with constant stirring. Uppuma is now ready.
